- Xanthos
About seventeen kms west of Kalkan lie the ancient ruins of Xanthos, the administrative centre of Lycia
- Patara
Close to Xanthos can be found the ruins of the most significant Lycian harbour. Also at Patara is a beautiful twenty km stretch of beach.
- Tlos
36 kms south of Fethiye, is the the oldest city in the Lycian region and the home of the Lycian Hero Bellerophon. Visitors can see the remains of a castle, the agora, the necropolis, the theatre, Roman baths and a good view of Esen Valley.

- Saklikent Canyon
The Esen stream passes through a deep seventeen km long canyon where spectacular views can be had from the wooden bridges. It is also possible to wade up some of the waters of the canyon and later seek refreshment in the floating restaurants.
